First days are always exciting, no?

To start with, I forgot to mention the GOOD news in the last blog. We crossed 5000+ All-time views on these blogs after 25 blogs. Yayy!! I am really grateful for this and so happy! I never thought these blogs will ever be such an important part of my life but now I can feel that these are growing into something more big and meaningful for me. So, thank you all of you who always took out time to read and comment on my blogs. I love you all💓

Having said that, let me start today's blog.

Being an experienced stationery-lover, the only thing I find exciting in a new academic semester is to start using new books and pens. Going all out on stationeries. Throughout the academic year, I crave vacations and when they finally arrive I crave using the stationery and new books. It's a never-ending cycle!! (My first blog was literally about Vacations!!??.. )

Today, I woke up at around 7:20 (which is pretty early for me). I gave myself a pep talk and tried to lure myself to wake up just so that I can use my pretty books. It always works for me. Someday, I'll be working in an office and I think at that time I'll be luring myself with diaries. But for now, it's big full-scape notebooks and color pens.

As per my usual routine, I had breakfast and read for some time, and set up my study area (which is my bed and desk). I brought all my beautiful books out and arranged them in a neat stack. Took out all my pens too. Then all this excitement ended and the lectures started.

Pretty books, no?

This year we have core electrical courses (for those who don't know I'm an Electrical Engineering student). Today's lectures were all about evaluation schemes and introduction. Not much interesting stuff to share about as I'm sure you don't want to hear me talk about communication systems and analog circuits.

But there was this one course that really got me hooked. So, every year we have these HSS courses which are basically literature and sociology sort of subjects. In my first year, it was just basic English - writing, reading, and speaking. Second-year I opted for the course 'Regional Literature in Translation' and I got to read books and short stories. Yay! And this year I have opted for 'Youth Studies'. This course has got my attention since the first lecture itself - which has always been the case with me when it comes to the HSS courses. Hehe. I'm really looking forward to this one course. We always think that HSS courses are like our Night in Shining Armor. They were always revivifying to our boring semesters - even their assignments were loved by mostly everyone too. Anyhoo, enough of the HSS talks.

Later, it was a regular day with little studying and reading. But here's a thought I have had in my mind since morning.

You know I wonder sometimes that years later, one day I'll read all these blogs and think of how young Zeba was and how she thought. Even today, many times I read my old blogs and feel how far I've come and how I have evolved ever since. I don't know how regular I will be with these blogs but right now I am loving writing this regularly and posting too. But yes life's going to get pretty hectic, so I don't know how often I'll be posting.

Anyhoo, I have a question for you. Do you too go back to your old diary entries or pictures and just wonder how life has changed and so have you? I do that pretty often.

Word of the Blog: Revivifying (Giving new life or vigor to something)

(Also, this word stems from 2 roots --> re (again) + vivo (to live). Etymologically, it means 'to live again' aka new life)

Bye Bye

YES! Those are very pretty books indeed, and I'm liking it more just bcz I'm a big stationery lover too.... and yeah, till date, i never had this habit of writing diary, but very lately, I'm trying to start with one, but, I'm too good at remembering dates, like, many times, I've an idea about, on this exact date, 5 years ago, I cried a lot for a very silly reason, but all of it makes sense now, & had moulded me into a person I'm today, & many times, all these memories leaves me with either a wide smile or tears in my eyes & that's what life is all about (according to my belief), yeah, but I do stare my old pictures a lot, hehe!

5 Things my Mom taught me!

That's me - before puberty hit me and my mom - pretty as always :) Puberty hit me good! My mom still the same :') The context behind this very special blog is because it's my Mum's birthday today (PS: You can wish her in the comments below). And to do something special for her I decided to write things that she has taught me knowingly and unknowingly. I think that the most special feeling for anyone would be that they have made an impact, an influence on someone. That feeling is just more than money or love. It's a feeling of respect, and how the days you've talked has to lead to that breakthrough. And being my mom, she knows me for 19 years now (and 19 days, but not my point). I have mentioned her and my dad in many of my blogs but they both have taught me so much more. So, here are the 5 things I learned from my Ma: 1. Hustle as much as you can when you are young - this will ensure a comfortable life later! Now, I know this contradicts the point of 'Life i...

To the best week of 2021!

I know it's too soon to announce the best week but I feel I'm not going to have a better week in the remaining months of 2021.  I visited my Nani house and met my 6 cousins.  Played an endless number of card games. Mostly lost in all. Jammed to 2000s songs while playing. Got challenged to recognize songs just by the starting tune. Won that challenge with flying colors 😉 Got dressed up. Hijacked elder sis's jewelry collections🥵. Troubled her while sleeping by cuddling😈 My Younger sister combed my hair from time to time😂. Lots of internal jokes🤧 Middle sister making efforts to make the house of cards. And me like a pretty nice sister trying to crush that house😊 Comparing heights with both my brothers😬. Still proud to be the tallest🏆. Laughing on almost any random thing. Talking about school and online studies📖 The infinite arguments and exploring options for Movie night🎥 Fighting for who will get that last chip at 1am. Gulping down Jeeru bottles🥤 Everyo...
